There are three basic types of diseases: endogenous (internal), exogenous (external) and psychological origin and disease can cause one type of any other type of disease. When exogenous diseases, and they include infections, epidemics, occupational disease, iatrogenic illness, accidents, bad position of the planets and the obsession with perfume - first symptoms appear, and already they are followed by imbalance of the doshas. When endogenous diseases, everything happens on the contrary.
Mental illness can occur when you exit out of balance as the mental doshas (Rajas, Tamas), and wool, Pitta and Kapha, as well as the intense feelings or abuse of intoxicating substances.Mental illness can manifest itself in the mind (such as anxiety), in the body (such as asthma), and in the mind and body simultaneously. For example, constipation may be purely psychological origin, caused severe mental and affection "tugostyu".
From another point of view, there is only one type of the disease, and it comes from within as
addition, diseases are divided in strength, treatability, aetiology (particularly cold compared to hot), symptoms, localization, time (eg, escalating in the daytime or at night, or at certain times of the year, or certain digestive stage), and the likely outcome of treatments.Iatrogenic illness arising as a result of the treatment of other diseases, constitute a separate category.Tibetan medicine has twelve kinds of side effects, and they may occur, and with a successful and an unsuccessful treatment.
Diseases are primary (arising by themselves) and secondary (arising as a complication of previously existing illnesses).According to the observation of Madhava, sometimes the disappearance of a disease means the coming to be replaced by a new, though more often it happens that the first disease pulls the second and coexists with it.Rakta pitta (bleeding tendency) can be both a cause and a result of the heat, and connecting together, they can cause Shoshu (exhaustion, literally drying).Diarrhea, malabsorption, and hemorrhoids are able to call each other, and the common cold, fired to chance, can turn into a cough, which, if neglected treatment, may result in tuberculosis, which can kill the patient.
All diseases are accompanied by either insufficient or excess nutrition of tissues. The first dries the body, and the second makes it too wet.Materials and activities, dried body - dry or stale food, prolonged exposure in the sun or the wind, fear, anxiety, sadness, refraining from sleep, old age, the loss of large amounts of blood, semen, feces and other tissues or waste - weaken the digestivefire, just like a normal fire is extinguished from lack of firewood. If the body gets too dry, it can not develop a sufficient number of races for the nutrition of tissues. From lack of race decreases production of Ojas, which weakens both the mental and physical digestive fire.Because the property is dry wool, drying the body causes the excitation of wool, and usually leads to diseases of vata.
substances and activities causing "waterlogging" of the body, weaken the digestive fire in the same way as wet wood fire extinguish the fire.Because most diseases have rich people comes from all sorts of excesses, it waterlogging (abhishyandi) is the main reason for their poor health. When seers of Ayurveda decided to colonize the relatively arid lands, they talked about a variety of diseases that affect the inhabitants of wet places at the same time. They mean abhishyandi - waterlogging condition, which is almost every resident of raw climate. The property abhishyandi naturally possess certain substances, regardless of their origin, such as yogurt, pork and salt.
