Omission of age is most often due to:
- muscle weakness, raising the eyelid;
- damage to the nerves that control the muscles;
- the weakening of the skin of the upper eyelids.
Hanging eyelid may be due to:
- normal aging process;
- as a result of injury or illness;
- it is present at birth (congenital feature).
